Polo Silk has been photographing the Central City neighborhood of New Orleans since the late 1980s. In particular, Polo's work has focused on the Hip-Hop and Bounce scenes. On this day, an exhibition at the New Orleans Jazz Museum, housed in the old U.S. Mint building, opened featuring Polo's work documenting the Hip-Hop and Bounce scene of the 80s and 90s.
