"Friends Forever" would be the title of this picture.

What a touching image! I can't imagine how thrilling it must have been to visit the penguins. Great shot, congrats!

Brilliant shot. I can't imagine the efort it takes to get a fantastic picture like this, and to do it in Antartica! So much warmth from such a cold environment...it makes one smile.

You couldn't plan a moment like this! It's a one in a million shot. Nature at its finest.

I've enjoyed studying penguins for years, this image captures why...

What an amazing picture!

"Can I have this dance?" Congrats on a spectacular image.

Von Hawley's Penguin chicks picture is fantastic. Hope he has others of like nature and can share--well worth the time to view.

How about entitling it, "You talking to me?"? Awesome pic! Congratulations!!

Breathtaking. 3 personalities and 1 conversation in this shot! THE ONE!!!

The background composition here is intriquing: almost looks as if An August Presence in long black robes is supervising the young dancers. A great eye behind the camera.

It sure looks like there is coversation going on here. Great Shot!

Stunning, amazing, this is a winner!!!

The Penguin chicks dancing is frankly incredible--it is amazing a human being could capture it. Von Halwy has my vote!

This captures a moment that speaks so beautifully and clearly about the penguins' relationship to each other and how thin the line is between people and other animals. I was wrong when I thought I'd seen all the penguin shots I ever wanted or needed to.

All the pictures are marvelous but the Emperor Penguins photo has such a tender and endearing quality that makes it very touching and special.

Hi there We just voted for you, congratulations what a fantastic picture When are we going to see you and Connie again? Jack and Nikki The Orkney Islands Scotland

Von, Taking photos seems to be and has been one of your great abilities. Good luck and what a great photo.

A vote for the Emperor Penguins - "Do you want to lead or should I?"

The penguin picture is a classic. The best among other excellent photos.

What a great photo - after The March of the Penguin - its time to dance - well spotted Von.

What a photo! You, alone on the ice with the Penguins, I can almost feel your isolation. Yet the scene is warm and convivial. Well done Von you have found your calling!

Wonderful depth in both technique and meaning. Great shot!

What can I say? The picture speaks a thousand words.

What a wonderful picture! Having captured the interaction between the penguins was quite a feat, and it's so interesting for us to see.

Wow! What a great shot. You have my vote.

VERY COOL!!! (pun intended)

My daughter loves penguins in all forms, so she loves Von Hawley's picture. Please count Anna and my votes.

I think this one should have a caption contest next. "___________ is that you? Long time, no see buddy, How ya been?!" Family reunion.

Wow Von!!!!!! Great photo!!! I vote for you!!! Everyday!!

It looks a little like they're playing tag, except with tag backs instead of without them.

Haha!! This is such a cute picture! makes me think of "Happy Feet". And I agree with Carol. This picture should be entered for a caption contest. The different interpretations would be hilarious!
