Congratulations Joydeep in capturing a slice of modern day life in a very humorous fashion. I think I hear your cell phone ringing . . . sorry it's mine! :0)
This photo is very telling of the transition India is making as it emerges into the global sphere. The crossroads of tradition and modernity. This is a fantastic photograph of the new era in India.
So many strong images here, but this one made me come back. It is humorous, but it also can be enjoyed and understood on multiple levels -- the ancient and sacred myths intersected with the guiding modern myths of what constitutes 'progress' and 'success'. It would be interesting to know if the photographer simply 'caught' this moment, or if it was a collaborative creation.....
This really made me smile! The deity in the modern world! Simply fantastic, this photo really tells a story. Congratulations Joydeep!

"Can you hear me now?" Yes. Modern communication links us all in various ways, as this striking shot illustrates.
