04 - Silence! Science is speaking

This photo is part of my project, dedicated as a tribute to JMW Turner, an extraordinary person and artist who lived in an extraordinary time of the 19th century full of social changes and technical discoveries. He was the supreme representative of Romanticism, often referred to as the forerunner of the Impressionists. But he was also a person who paid a lot of attention to the industrial revolution. My effort was to photographically realize references to contemporary industry within the English landscape (Lake District) and the Venetian Lagoon - both places where JMWT worked as a painter. How would the combination of modern industry and urbanism fit into the environment of Turner's historical landscape composition and color? And are we satisfied with the current state?
