Ok, but this is a good one: at the time I was in Photography school and this was a group project for "Photography editorials 101". The professor had asked us for a conceptual photoshoot, so we came up with this crazy messy makeup alongside dark neutral clothes, the whole idea coming from the greek myth "Medusa" (the eyes draw all the attention, the clothes reference ancient greek clothing, those long cloths. The moment we stepped in the studio, our professor humiliated us, claiming that was a beauty photoshoot, not a conceptual one, that we weren't smart enough and etc... But he didn't even let us explain the concept itself. Everyone was bummed but I'm not one to go down in silence, so I told him we would do it either way, whether he understood the concept or not... And to be honest? I freaking loved the result.
