My husband and I first visited ZooAve in Costa Rica over 12 years ago. The photos of the gorgeous Macaws I captured on my little Kodak Easy Share were stunning back then. I returned to Costa Rica for Medical Tourism. I was determined to make an adventure out of my trip to receive 5 dental implants. I had the pleasure of returning to my favorite zoo with my mom. The Macaws were there to greet me once again, this time nestled in a backdrop of lush tropical foliage. (Quite a different setting from 12 years ago.) We were charmed. This photo is one of my favorites.
