4th of July Block Party Peel Out
Every year my sister throws a huge block part on the fourth of July. Everyone dresses in red white and blue, brings their best banana pudding, my brother smokes a pig, and the party begins. It gets a little wild with fireworks in the street, classic Solo red cups everywhere, and ordinary people showing off hidden skills like juggling fire, or in this case, the shy neighbor kid peeling out–or, the practice of keeping a car stationary, while the wheels move to create friction, smoke, and ultimately, a 4th of July finale.
