7th year of Yulgok-ro restoration in Seoul, Korea

The image shows the restoration of Yulgok-ro, formerly "Route 6" in the past , to the shape of the road before it was built. Route 6 was originally built by the Japanese Governor-General of Korea and opened on April 22, 1932. After the first restoration attempt, which began in 1986, fell through in 1988, as a result of the re-discussion in 2009, the restoration work began in 2011 and is now in the final stages. In July 2018, the photograph was taken in the seventh year of construction to record the progress of the construction and to ask questions about Koreans' perception of the historical and cultural significance of the construction.
