We hiked through the mud, up the mountain, into the dense primordial forest of Volcanoes National Park, Rwanda. In a small clearing, we left our packs and walking sticks--according to the trackers, the gorilla family was close by. The gorillas were used to human visitors, and we came upon them around their afternoon nap. This baby gorilla, the families new addition, was clinging to his napping mother in the afternoon humidity. He was perfect.
