20th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Artistic
A barren tree alone in the fog at the foot of Mt. Laguna.
I liked this tree for its stark and barren quality. There were many distractions behind the tree. I waited for whiteout conditions to really isolate the tree. I wanted a very desolate and barren quality to my photo.
