This cattail uniquely stood out over the rest that were growing near by it in our woods because of its fuzzy beard above a spindly green neck and white hair on top of its head, It reminded me of natures caricature of an elderly man. By the next day the wind had blown off its beard so that it looked clean shaven and left the poor thing bald. It is providential that I shot the picture when I did as timing is everything:-)
