18th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Natural World
A beautiful creature
On my daily woods walk I came across this beautiful grasshopper. As I slowly approached it I asked it to be patient with me so I could get a good picture of it and was surprised as it did not move. I took several pictures and thanked this grasshopper for being so patient and helpful.
