On an old dirt road in a forested area of Interlake, Manitoba we came upon a female Black Bear. She had protectively sent her cub up a tree for safety. She then "hid" herself behind a small evergreen tree, keeping an eye on us all the while. From a safe distance we took in the view of this beautiful animal and the spring trees.
