Sleeping under the stars out on the Makgadikgadi Pan, a large salt pan in the Kalahari desert in Botswana. One of the most unique experiences one can have in Africa. To reach this remote area, you drive across the pan on quad bikes. The beds were set up by the lodge as part of our sunset ride out into the pan and they surprised us by telling us we could stay out there all night! The camp fires in the background were where drinks and dinner were served before they showed us our beds.
