A big yawn This tiny Screech Owl has visited before. He was seen in the tree right outside our front door. My husband texted me while I was at a nearby lake, saying, "Come home, the owl has returned." I quickly left and returned to take photos. This little owl had found a comfortable place to rest. Every hour, I checked in on him. He slowly began to stir awake just before sunset. This is when he let out a long yawn. Take a look at that little tongue.
