This is a head shot of a Blue Heron I came across, resting on a log, along the shoreline of Lake Fernan, in North Idaho. I was driving to a spot on the back side of this lake, searching for Osprey to take pictures of when I came across this Heron. This is one of a series of photos I took of it. I also got some pictures of it as it flew off.
