A brief encounter with Colorado's State Flower (Columbine Aquilegia caerulea) while hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park.

My favorite thing to do on any trip is to enjoy the natural beauty that nature has to offer. I love to get out and explore the area to see what biological or geological gems are available. Every part of region of our world has unique natural features, many of which have a long history and a connection with the people. The locals can always steer visitors to the favorite sites that are the "must" sees in the area. I am seldom disappointed when I take time to make the trek a favorite site of the local residents. Nature alone can draw me in on any trip. The natural beauty in our world rejuvenates the mind and spirit! My goal in retirement will be to travel north america and to explore and be energized by what nature has to offer.
