20th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Artistic
A broken branch on a frozen fountain.
The fountain had frozen overnight and the de-icers that were poured onto the ice produced a bright blue color. The contrast between the artificial blue, the dead branch, and the white ice was stunning.
