While on a recent trip to Katmai National Park in Alaska, I had the pleasure of watching brown bears feasting on salmon that were moving up river to spawn. The bears all seemed to have different strategies or favorite places to fish. This older female preferred the mouth of the river where she would "snorkel" to catch them.
