A Bush in the Desert

The desert gets quiet in the winter. In December 2019, work was getting slow and hiking opportunities were few and far between, so I found myself getting bored in the middle of nowhere. One day I decided to wander around near my house and just take pictures of interesting patterns I found. I noticed this small, scrubby bush on its own among the grass and rocks. The desert looks barren from a distance, but if you look closer life abounds, even in the winter. In the spring, this bush would sprout resilient green leaves and wildflowers would appear around it.
