Visiting Costa Rica: I was visiting my daughter and son-in-law at new vacation/future home, in Costa Rica. At one of the places they wanted to show me, a long drive over very questionable roads, up into the hills we came across this butterfly, who at first glance appeared to be an exotic snake species. They enjoyed a laugh at my expense as it turned out to be the Owl butterfly.
