A child balances to detach their boat from the pier after enjoying the crystal deep waters.

Island living in Lisondra, a barangay of Surigao City, would mean that our livelihood will either revolved around coconuts or the sea. Maneuvering a boat is a skill developed at an early stage. For most kids, their only chance of playing is by jumping off the pier into the waters. Most families have their own boats as they often live in house-on-stilts. These two children just finished having a bit of fun and they were just untying the knot of one of the posts in the barangay's pier.
