A Child's Ramadan
Eid is a celebration of one’s true self in the wake of 30 days of fasting. It is a celebration of reawakening and the momentous shift toward purity and clarity. Some children fast half days, but most do not fast until puberty/adulthood. In Islam, children are pure, and clear. As adults fast, Zia plays. As adults celebrate, Zia plays. An Ode to Purity.
