A cow on the eastern plains of Colorado

Cattle ranching and agriculture is the main way of life on the eastern plains of Colorado, and much of the American West in general. The significance I find is that before cowboys and cattle took over the plains, this land was occupied by Native Americans and bison. As I explore the county roads of eastern Colorado, I find no bison. It is rare to see a non-white face. And the one's we see standing here haven't always been here, yet they're the ones who remain.
