17th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Natural World
A coyote in Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming.
I went on a road trip during the summer and visited ten national parks. I took this photo of a coyote in Yellowstone National Park. It was walking on the side of the trail and I stood at a distance to admire it. The animal seemed unbothered by our presence.
