A Dali Griefscape: All That Remains (II)
Santa Monica Beach was transformed during the Pacific Palisades Fire. After a week of smoke billowing into the sky, on this seventh evening, the drama was found in the sand reconfigurations caused by the forceful winds. The dark seascape conjured the surrealist painter Salvador Dali. In the sand, I see a dark misshapen heart. (2 of 2 photos)
