14th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Mobile
A desert oasis nestled amongst sand dunes
This photo is showing an oasis surrounded by miles and miles of desert. I spent a few days here. I hiked up one of the sand dunes, and was able to observe the oasis from an elevated and farther-away location.
