Every Black Saturday (Lent), people bring religious articles such as figurines, rosaries and Bibles during the mass for blessing by the priest. Later on, it became a tradition that blessing of items like candles, matches, bottles of water or oil and containers of rice or salt will also provide bountiful graces from God.
