19th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Natural World
A Different Perspective
Spider webs are not the most welcomed creations nature leaves for us to find. But sometimes, when the moment's right, you can see the beautiful, prism-like qualities they have to offer. I almost missed this moment but the sunlight perfectly pierced through the shrubbery, enhancing its intricate design. This was captured at Mount Soledad in San Diego, California.
