15th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Natural World
A dozen layers
Crater lake National Park is known for its true blue color. But when we were visiting the park last august there were many wildfires near the park. Unfortunately its been suggested that the cause of fire was not solely natural. The visibility was very poor and just smokes all around. This shot was taken at sunrise where the smokes scatters and reflect the hues. So fragile yet so beautiful!
