A dragon blood tree on the Socotra Dixam plateau

With its woven foliage in the shape of a giant parasol, the "Draceana cinnabari", also known as the dragon blood tree is impressive. It is very resistant and can live up to a thousand years. A limestone soil and low altitude are enough for it to multiply, as on the Dixam plateau, in the heart of Socotra island.
