A Dried-Up Camel Thorn Tree Being Eternally Scorched in Deadvlei, Namibia

Deadvlei is a clay pan located near Sossusvlei in Namibia. The skeletons of the trees, which are believed to have died 600–700 years ago, are now black because the intense sun has scorched them, and the wood doesn't decompose because it's very dry.
