A family outside their home in Uganda

This is a story from the mother in the picture. "We moved to the slum a few years ago. My husband was in a car accident only making him mentally unstable, he is never really around during the day. I have six children, they do not go to school because we cannot afford school fees. I work selling shoe polish, it brings in just enough for us to eat a few meals a week, rent is cheap here thats why we stay." I am submitting this picture in the people category because I think that listening and telling peoples stories is one of the most important things we can do on this planet.
