The photo was taken on a Sunday afternoon. I was waiting for my train at a subway station as I was on my way to my mother's newly-purchased and first ever home (American dream!) to help her clean-up. Then I saw a family of three riding scooters on the platform across mine. I can’t help but document such an intriguing moment to see how they unapologetically sprinted on the platform and completely disregarded other fellow passengers. Other passengers seemingly did not care either. It reminds me, a first-generation immigrant, of why the U.S. is called “the land of the free”.
