A female Olive-backed Sunbird building nest in a mangrove tree.
This is an image of a female Olive-backed sunbird building its nest almost to completion. It was built high up a mangrove tree away from possible predators. However, this bird might not have known that part of the material it gathered and weaved was pieces or shredded plastic rice sack. This nest looks like an upgrade of a good shelter that is dangerous to the hatchlings.
