Born and raised in Brooklyn, I left a long time ago but love going back. Sports in the city parks meant basketball, but soccer has joined the scene. I was intrigued by the silhouettes of the runners in the blazing light. Lower Manhattan is on the right (the Brooklyn Bridge is just beyond the picture’s frame). The setting sun provided a deep natural context for the urban landscape of sports, park bench, observers, the umbrella, and the hazy skyscrapers.
