It was a July morning and we were out with the family for a trip to the University of York Library. The steps of the stairs leading to the Library are separated visually as they are painted with a bright yellow colour, and as we were stepping down to return home I noticed a snail gliding gracefully across the edge of a step. Its elongated foot muscle moving kept my camera captivated.
