A girl from a small fishing village in Uganda.

In September, 2021 visited Uganda for the first time. While exploring the Queen Elizabeth national park, I had the opportunity to meet some of the locals who live nearby. The small fishing village is called Katwe and was developed over 100 years ago. People from neighboring Congo, as well as other parts of Africa came to this remote area to work in the salt mine. Today the mine is inactive, but the village has ended up a melting pot of cultures.
