a gorgeous one-eyed leopard on the Serengeti

During our first game drive in Serengeti NP, at the end of a long productive day of sightings, we seemed to be the only vehicle left in the park. Our excellent guide suddenly got very excited and raced toward a large tree a couple of hundred yards away. He had spotted this beautiful leopard lounging in the branches. As we arrived at the tree, it was obvious this cat had only one eye. The assumption by our guide was it was injured in a fight, probably with another leopard over territory. I was able to get numerous lovely shots in the fading light before we had to depart due to park hours.
