The monsoons in India bring beautiful delights along with themselves, it's just a matter of the extent one has to go to witness such phenomenons. On one such afternoon, I went out to shoot sunset on one of the lakes in my town. It was raining heavily when I went out and took me about 2 hours to reach the lakeside. I waited for about another hour for the rain to stop, and what came afterward was nothing less than serenity to me. I saw this huge Great Egret flying towards me and it started hovering over the lake. This picture is one of the images I made that evening and it was such a beautiful moment to see the bird flying along the shore of the lake in peace. The image is quite the polar opposite of what I and my people are going through during this pandemic and I feel this image makes me believe in myself and encourages me to go out and make images even more. The image for me is like meditating and witness nature at the peak of its beauty and serenity.
