A Green Turtle (Chelonia mydas) at Tunnels Beach, Kauai.
For many people to see and watch from close a sea turtle without long snorkeling hours is just a dream. Instead is it possible in one of the last paradises left on earth, Kauai Island in Hawaii. Here, at Tunnels, is possible to encounter these beautiful creatures just a few meters from the shore-line in very shallow water. Here the turtles seems not to be shy and let the people have a very close look while they feed on the sea bed. It is only up to our common sense to give them space and do not touch them!
