17th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest People
A happy African Woman
Clothed in the most fascinating fabric, exhibiting elegance and wit. Decorated with the most illuminating ornament, even crystals can't compete. Handwoven into the precious item, i become a prodigy. Despite the world's chatter and mockery i feel safe in my own skin. This photograph was created as a result of our youths and even older ones who want to "glow" and in the process damage skin pigmentation. Let us learn to accept who we are. God who made skin colour knows best, instead of altering, why not accept.
