A Hawaiian O'hia tree silhouetted against the Milky Way
O'hia trees grow only in Hawaii and are the first tree to take root on volcanic terrain after an eruption. This o'hia was at the edge of the summit caldera of Kilauea Volcano, and a clear night allowed me to silhouette it against the Milky Way.
