A Hermit Thrush rests after catching an afternoon snack
This photograph shows a Hermit Thrush resting on a post with a tasty little snack. In the forests of Atlantic Canada, Hermit Thrush are known for the beauty of their songs rather than their appearance. While lacking the flamboyance of many of our songbirds, I find thrushes to be beautiful in a soft, understated manner. By sharing this photograph I hope viewers will gain a new appreciation of the gentle physical beauty of this lauded songster.
