My family and I hike New Hampshire's White Mountains every year. Although not as dramatic as newer ranges such as the Rockies, we nonetheless find ourselves endlessly captivated by the fresh scent of trees, filtered sunlight and bouldered terrain that define this mountain range. This photo, taken on our way up to Mt Jefferson, captures this essence.
