This was the birthplace of my love for photography. After a long and treacherous journey up damp Albertan terrain, my family and I finally made it to the top of a viewing point for Lake Moraine. My little siblings rushed to the first few rocks they deemed clean enough to sit on, and I followed suit. Just as I'd finally caught my breath, it was once again taken away by the sapphire blue lake in front of me. My eyes ran up and down the cascading mountains in the distance, their peaks scraping the cloud-splotched sky. We all stood there silently for a good 5 minutes, mouths agape, trying to comprehend what stood before us. I was completely, utterly, undeniably mesmerized.
