The famous crouded red cabins is the symbol of the world biggest Tibetan Buddhist Institute located in Larung Gar off 20 km away from Sertar County, Sichuan, China. It was first set up in 1980 with only less than 30 apprentices but as of now, there are more than 20 thousand of monks and nuns here learning the sacred Buddhist courses and purifying the soul. Due to the area had become dangerously overcrowded to improve fire safety and sanitation, the authority has began to demolish the houses in the first quarter this year to reduce the apprentices to five thousand or less. There are lamas who has been stayed in this monastery for more than two decades reacted with a mixture of sadness and lost will have to move out from this area after the demolition process has completed.
