A Hunter with Two Heads

A hooded golden eagle looks towards the camera while a Kazakh hunter scans the mountainside for foxes. Many of the hunters strongly identify with their profession and are sometimes called ‘búrkitshy,’ which is rooted in 'búrkit,' the Kazakh word for 'golden eagle.'
