Before The Storm
Deuri is a village in the Jhalakathi district that has suffered severe river erosion, losing much of its western part. The connecting road to the market and trawler stand is gone, so now villagers depend on trawlers for transportation. On a particularly ominous rainy day, thick black clouds raced across the sky, casting a ghostly shadow over the landscape. As the storm approached, the villagers watched nervously, their hearts racing with the darkening sky.
