A Kazakh Portrait
During the winter migration of moving a Kazakh family and their livestock across the Altai Mountains, one of the herdsmen stopped to pose with his camels and horse. The camels carry a portion of the family belongings, though most items are transported by vehicles. The camels also carry smaller animals, including calves and the family eagles used in the Kazakh tradition of eagle hunting.
